Release 4 offers a new intuitive user interface and many new functions for even more efficiency.

EasyEdit Mode. Editors can now navigate through the website and manipulate content at every time. Also the components can be edited directly on the site. EasyEdit therefore is a comfortable tool for less-practiced users.

The system of user rights has been improved and now offers more flexibility. From now on, one user can also be the member of several groups and take the responsibility for the respective content in the group. There is also the possibility to access publications. One user can now service several mandators.

The modeling of workflow and release processes now is even more flexible. Groups can now also be integrated as workflow participants.

Release 4 of the hyper Content Management Servers offers “Tamino”, the XML-database of SoftwareAG as an optional content repository. With “Tamino” it is possible to save content in native XML (that is also possible in the content repository of the hyper Content Management Server) and it also offers a variety of advantages.

The new WYSIWYG-editor enables the conversion from MS Word-format to XHTML. MS Word-documents can now easily be integrated and automatically get bowdlerised. It is also possible to paste pictures from the media library into the text.     

Complete folders with all their contents can now be cut, copied and pasted. The link management – as normal - automatically takes care of the references.

Version 4 also offers a complete new feature: inheritance. Content can now be inherited between publications in accordance to predefined guidelines. Thus, content can be published independently from different websites.
